I started Walker Taylor Accountancy Services after working in various other Chartered Accountancy Practices with experience spanning over 18 years. The valuable experience gained whilst working for other accountancy practices has given me the skills to be able to provide services to a wide range of small and medium sized businesses across a wide variety of industries.
I enjoy the problem solving aspects of accountancy and taxation and implementing effective strategies into clients’ businesses to make their lives easier.
As well as being a Chartered accountant with ACCA, I am also member of the Association of Accounting Technicians, a certified QuickBooks Advanced ProAdvisor and a Making Tax Digital ProAdvisor.
When I’m not working, I am kept very busy with my family and our dog Vinny. I enjoy socialising with friends and family and fundraising for the school that my children attend.

Having left school aged 18 to join Grant Thornton, I started studying towards the AAT qualification whilst working in the accounts, audit & tax departments gaining experience in each. I then moved into industry as a management accountant & studied part time to become a Chartered Management Accountant. Once qualified, I then went to work for a well-known Financial Services company as a Project & Business Management accountant for 8 years.
Following this, I opted for a change back to working in practice where I was responsible for a portfolio of clients including sole traders, partnerships & small companies. After working through the COVID pandemic I had a period of reflection & decided to train as a swimming teacher & qualified in April 2022. I now combine teaching children aged 4-16 to swim with working for Walker Taylor Accountancy Services as an accountant. I am also a certified QuickBooks Advanced ProAdvisor and a Making Tax Digital ProAdvisor.
Away from work, I am mum to 2 boys aged 18 & 14 who keep me busy! I also enjoy running, Yoga, baking, walking my 2 dogs (Maggie & Ted) & get togethers with friends.
